What is a “component” mattress?
A “component” mattress simply means the mattress uses separate pieces combined to create the overall support sleep system. The Body Responsive Sleep Systems™ component mattress uses six base foam components and two rolls of high-quality visco-elastic foam encased in a two chamber cover. What are the benefits of a “component” mattress?
A component mattress allows for direct shipping and easy set up anywhere in your home. In addition, the components can be removed allowing you to wash the mattress cover and change firmness levels. Do you feel a seam while on a “component/modular” mattress?

We recommend deep pocket linens for easy fit and comfort. BRSS also recommends NOT using a mattress pad in addition to the mattress cover. This can inhibit the full effect of the temperature sensitive memory foam as well as the overall sleep system performance. When will my mattress ship/be delivered?
Your BRSS mattress will ship within 48 hours. You can expect to receive your mattress within 5-7 business days within the contiguous 48 states. How many boxes will be delivered for my mattress? (per size)

King/Cal King - 6 boxes How long does it take to assemble the mattress?
Set up time for the BRSS mattress should take approximately 15-30 minutes. Easy to follow set up instructions are enclosed in the shipment for your convenience. View the set up instructions. How many people does it take to set up the mattress?
For quick and easy setup, we recommend two people; however it can be assembled by one person. How long does it take for mattress components to warm up after delivery in cold climate areas?
Please allow 3-5 hours for the temperature-sensitive memory foam material to adjust to room temperature prior to assembly. What type of foundation/box spring is recommended for the mattress?
BRSS recommends using a solid surface foundation to achieve the highest level of performance from this mattress. You can also use an existing box spring, however, a soft, old box spring could have adverse affects on the performance of the mattress. For example, the mattress could develop a feeling of sinking to the middle. Older softer box springs are not recommended. The BRSS mattress is a stand alone mattress and does not require the extra cushioning properties that a soft box spring provides. How long is the trial period?
BRSS offers a 6 month trial period. This includes 100% refund of the original purchase price excluding shipping. How do I return the mattress within the 6 month trial period? If you purchased the mattress directly from Body Responsive Sleep Systems™ Step 1:

Yes, in the event that the mattress needs to be returned within the 6 month trial period, the mattress must be packaged in its original packaging; however, should you no longer have the orignal boxes, you are responsible for obtaining the approriate shipping containers for return. What if I don’t have the original boxes the mattress was shipped in?
If you do not have the original mattress boxes, you are still eligible for the full refund. However; you are responsible for getting the appropriate shipping boxes to accommodate the mattress components and cover. You are also responsible for ALL return freight charges back to the manufacturer. How long is the warranty?

No. The BRSS warranty coverage does not decrease with time. We stand behind our product a full 10 years. This means you get the same warranty coverage in year 10 as you would in year 1. View Warranty Info What does 5 lb. density memory foam/Visco Elastic mean?
It is the weight of a cubic foot of material. The higher the density/weight of the visco-elastic foam, the higher the quality. Lighter material means lower quality, shorter life span of the mattress and also less support. BRSS uses the highest quality products available in today’s market. Memory foam is temperature-sensitive material, which allows BRSS products to provide custom support by becoming softer where the most pressure is being applied. This material also distributes your body weight over a larger surface area, minimizing pressure points and providing a more restful night’s sleep. Is the mattress “hot” to sleep on?
Body Responsive’s memory foam is made of a fast acting material that has better air flow than other memory foams on the market. This enables the BRSS mattress to “breathe”, dissipating heat and moisture from the sleep surfaces. The BRSS hypoallergenic mattress cover also prevents the ‘sinking’ feeling common with other memory foam mattresses. How does the mattress achieve two different firmness levels?
This is achieved by exposing the bottom of the memory foam to two levels of firmness in the support layer. These levels of firmness can be changed by flipping over any or all (6) of the support layer components. How is the mattress dust mite resistant?
The fiber in the pillow top (Amicor) is treated to eliminate the food that dust mites feed on. A dust mite resistant cover also reduces static electricity that can attract dust mites. How do I launder the cover?
